Certifications: Board Certified within three (3) years of completing residency training program
Must-Have:
- Completed Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent international training program.
- Completed Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved residency program.
- Ongoing ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients and carry supplies and equipment.
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting and ambulating patients.
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
Description:
This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within credentialing and privileging documentation.
As part of that patient care, this position is accountable for delivering optimal patient care through effective clinical practice and education.
Conduct patient assessments to obtain complete and accurate records of clinical information and medical symptoms.
Order tests and exams to obtain additional information needed for proper patient care.
Diagnose patient needs and determine a plan of care based on assessments.
Provide treatment for patients and oversee the treatment provided by others.
Utilize advanced specialty knowledge to ensure that care is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost-efficient.
Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural care as defined by scope of practice.
Complete appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care.
Ensure that records are detailed and complete in compliance with related standards and regulations.
Conduct and coordinate education to increase the knowledge of patients and their families.
Train other staff in areas of clinical expertise and provide instruction based on patient needs.
Stay abreast of current trends in healthcare practice and participate in continuing medical education.
Coordinate and collaborate patient care efforts with other providers.
Communicate clinical information timely, accurately, thoroughly, and appropriately.
Collaborate with other providers in the effective sharing of clinical expertise.
Participate in research and utilize evidence-based practice to promote quality patient care.
Support professional development through research processes.
