Berkeley, MO , for a
Tooling Mechanic - Large Structure Fabrication. Position Responsibilities: \n - Large structure fabrication and assembly is the primary responsibility of this position
\n - Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams
\n - Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Marvel saw, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)
\n - Other responsibilities to include: Blueprint Reading, Tooling Inspection, 3D Model Interrogation, Machining, Welding, Laser Tracking
\n

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): \n - 1+ years' experience in large structure fabrication, ironworking, or as a millwright
\n - High school diploma or GED
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n - 3+ years of experience ironworking or working in a structure or tool fabrication environment
\n - Experience with safe heavy load lifting via forktrucks, mobile or overhead cranes
\n - Certificate or Degree or Technical Trade School Certificate (Or appropriate apprenticeship completion)
\n - Experience with Verisurf software
\n - Experience using manual inspection and CPU driven equipment such Laser Trackers
\n

Shift: This role could be for 1st or 3rd shift; however, the selected candidate must be able to work any shift to support program objectives.
New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of 120 calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.
Union: This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAMAW 837) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Summary Pay Range: $23.65/hour - $30.65/hour to start, with maximum potential to earn $47.76/hour, at top pay.
