Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

As a senior project manager, you will lead complex heavy civil projects through all phases, from preconstruction to final delivery. You will drive schedule, budget, safety, and client satisfaction while mentoring the next generation of builders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to meet project goals.
2. Partner with clients, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope, timeline, and costs.
3. Monitor costs and maximize financial performance through forecasting and change management.
4. Manage change order processes and negotiate pay quantities with clients.
5. Lead project meetings, track deliverables, and support field execution.
6. Ensure a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.
7. Develop and mentor your project team to grow their technical and leadership skills.
8. Collaborate with estimating and senior management on strategy and project pursuit.

Qualifications:

1. 15+ years in project management, with at least 10 years in heavy civil (earthwork, underground, paving, concrete).
2. Strong experience in public works and Caltrans projects.
3. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or similar.
4. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
5. Excellent leadership, mentoring, communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
6. Strong computer proficiency, including HCSS HeavyJob, PlanGrid, Smartsheet or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. QSP certification required.
8. Willingness to travel up to 100 miles as needed.
