Position: Construction Purchasing Agent
Location: Austin, TX 78745
Duration: Permanent
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of purchasing and estimating experience in construction. • Experience with both residential and commercial projects.
• Proven success managing procurement for $10M+ construction projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement, trade relations, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet-based budgeting.
• Familiarity with construction documents, codes, and terminology.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with CSI Division 01–49 cost codes.
• Background in volume building and equity-driven projects.
• Proficiency in Procore, Smartsheet (P6), and Sage CRE.
• Spanish language skills.
• CPSM certification.
• Experience with DOD/Army Corps projects is a strong plus.
Job Description
Our customer is seeking a Construction Purchasing Agent II with hands-on experience in both residential and commercial construction, including high-rise, hotel, military, and subdivision projects. The ideal candidate has worked on projects valued at $10M and up, and is comfortable managing full-cycle procurement from design planning through final build-out.
